Item Description
Time Relay
Features:
- Accuracy: 0.3 to 13 seconds
- Relay Output:
Power Supply:
- Voltage: 12V DC
- Protection: Includes protection against reverse supply voltage
Time Adjustment:
- Adjusted by trimmer
- Rotate counterclockwise to increase the delay time
Output:
- Two white wires - Normally Open (NO) contact
Working Principle: When the power is on, the relay is activated and the NO contact (the two white wires) is closed, maintaining that position until the end of the set time. Restarting the power supply restarts the cycle.
Physical Description:
- The device does not come with a plastic box; it is provided as a plate as shown in the picture.
- The timer is assembled and tested.
Wiring Diagram:
Power Supply:
- Connect the red wire to the 12V+ source (e.g., car battery positive terminal).
- Connect the black wire to the 12V- source (e.g., car battery negative terminal).
Output Connection:
- Connect the two white wires to the load that you want to control with the NO contact.
Usage Instructions:
- Set the Delay Time: Adjust the trimmer with a small screwdriver. Rotate counterclockwise to increase the delay time.
- Power On: When the power is supplied, the relay is activated, and the NO contact closes, allowing current to flow through the load.
- Wait for Deactivation: Once the set time elapses, the relay returns to its initial state, and the NO contact opens, stopping the current flow through the load.
- Restart Cycle: To restart the cycle, cut off and reapply the power supply.
Safety Tips:
- Ensure all connections are secure to avoid short circuits or loose connections.
- Verify the load does not exceed the relay's rated capacity (20A) to prevent damage.
- Double-check the polarity of the power supply to utilize the reverse voltage protection feature effectively.
By following these instructions, you can effectively use this time relay to manage timed activation of various loads, such as lights or other devices, ensuring a reliable and tested performance.
