User Guide: Car Dome Light Auto Shut-Off Module (8-Minute Timer)

This module is designed to prevent battery drain by adding an auto shut-off feature to the interior dome light in older cars. In newer cars, the dome light automatically turns off after 7-8 minutes if a door is left open; this module enables the same functionality for older models.

Product Description

When a door is open, the dome light will turn on. If the door remains open for more than 8 minutes, the light will automatically switch off to save battery power. If the door is closed before the 8-minute timer runs out, the light will turn off immediately.

Compatibility

This module can be used in combination with:

• Dimming Delay Turn-Off Kit
• Non-Dimming 0-25 Second Kit

Note: This module is only suitable for cars with a negative door switching signal. Please refer to the wiring diagram for proper installation.

Installation & Adjustment

1. Power Connection: Connect the module to a 12V DC power source.
2. Timer Adjustment: Use the trimmer to adjust the shut-off time. Turn clockwise to increase the shut-off time (up to 8 minutes).
3. Final Setup: Check the wiring diagram to ensure proper installation with the car’s dome light and door switches.

Important Note

This module is intended for vehicles with a negative door switching signal.
