Wiring Description:

  • Red: +12V supply
  • Black: GND (–12V)
  • White: Positive output
  • Blue: Negative output
  • Orange: Trigger input (+12V activation)
  • Brown: Trigger input (–12V activation)

Operating Principle:
When the module is powered, it remains in standby until a trigger signal is applied to the activation input (positive or negative, depending on configuration). Once triggered, the relay switches state and maintains it for the preset time interval. After the delay expires, the relay returns to its default state automatically.

Automotive Application Example (Headlight Control):
The module can be used for delayed shutdown of front lighting systems. A trigger signal is connected to the light switch (positive activation via orange wire). Constant 12V supply is provided from the vehicle battery (through appropriate fuse protection, typically 1A recommended for control circuit). Output wires are connected to the headlight load circuit.

When the switch is activated, the relay engages and powers the lights. When deactivated, the timer begins counting down and keeps the lights active for the configured delay time before switching off.

Important Note:
Ensure total load does not exceed 20A. For higher current applications, an external power relay must be used to avoid damage to the module.
