A Rain sensor alarm circuit can be a very beneficial device for alerting when rainfall happens. The rain detector is very sensitive to detect rain, or moisture.

Sensor can be cut at the line of holes and extended with wires and placed outdoor.
The switch have protection against reverse supply voltage.
The output is relay with:
- Normally open contact
- Normally closed contact
Power supply 9 to 14 V DC
Power consumption in standby mode - 0 mA( don't have consumption), in active mode: 41mA.
It is good for alarm and can work very long time in standby.

The sensitivity is adjusted by trimmer.
Principle of work:
When power is on, the switch is in standby mode. With the trimmer can be set sensitivity of water detection. When water is detected on the sensor ( at the bottom side on the plate) the relay will close until sensor stay dry again.
Device doesn't have plastic box, only plate, as see on the picture.
